Follow this link to check them all out and see what else I\u2019ve been up to:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/11000ad.com\/portfolio\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>https:\/\/11000ad.com\/portfolio\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"403e\">But that\u2019s not what I wanted to croon about\u2026 As I dig deeper into how coding is done today and update my old-school mindset, I\u2019m really starting to appreciate what the latest advancements in AI coding assistants have brought to the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"2d4e\">I can tell you from a before-and-after perspective \u2014 coding is definitely not what it used to be. It\u2019s&nbsp;<em>so<\/em>&nbsp;much better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"79db\">VS Code and Continue, or any other combination of tools, honestly feel like something out of&nbsp;<em>Star Trek<\/em>&nbsp;when Geordi or Scotty would basically just&nbsp;<em>explain<\/em>&nbsp;what they wanted, maybe write a line or two of theory or a specific query, and then AI coding assistants would handle the rest. They rewrite and optimize the code so it runs faster and smarter \u2014 there\u2019s been a lot of forehead-slapping on my part lately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"4001\">I mean, I got most of my computer science education in the \u201990s, and later picked up the rest online as needed, but half of it doesn\u2019t even matter anymore, made obsolete in just the last three or four years. It\u2019s the next Industrial Revolution, no doubt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"133e\">Sure, you need to know what you\u2019re doing and how to organize your code, but if you approach it for what it is \u2014 an optimization and learning tool \u2014 the sky\u2019s the limit for what you can accomplish!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"1cf4\">What a time to be alive for a lifelong Trekkie!
